Panic attacks / Depression?

Has anyone suffered from panic attacks or depression?

I'm on Zoloft (again) for panic attacks which has helped greatly but I'm interested to know what other sufferers can suggest!

Re: Panic attacks / Depression?

Try St. Johns Wort and/or Nerve Eight. Nurti-Calm is great too. But you have to take them regularly or they won't work. Make sure you consult an herbalist though.

Re: Panic attacks / Depression?

Depression, stress and anxiety are such disorders which most people face in there life as some stage for one reason or the other. If it's children the pressure of studies gets over their head and if it's adults the pressure of work attracts depression.
People suffering from anxiety, panic, stress and depression should consult a specialist and only then should use the medicine, as there can be various reasons behind the disorder. Medicines used to cure such disorders are habit forming and should be used for small duration. As per my personal experience, I have used Xanax and it helped me in getting over my panic and anxiety disorder. You can even buy xanax online as there are various pharmacies which can provide you with online prescription. Along with medicine, the concerned person should take a break from his/her regular schedule, go out and take good sleep.

Re: Panic attacks / Depression?

Hello, B Vitamins are VERY good for depression. I have seen them work, plus use Cayenne Pepper in most things that you cook. This is VERY good. I have used this for 1 year and seen someone with depression actually start to enjoy life again.

Re: Panic attacks / Depression?

OK, I am an expert on this subject, unfortunately! I was put on meds YEARS ago (before they released the results of the tests) & I never actually needed them. My health is permanently messed up due to these meds.

I had a hell of a time finding someone to help me taper & since you can't just go cold turkey, you NEED an understanding & knowledgeable doctor to help you with this.

After being put on a ton of different meds that "didn't work" I was put on a combo of Serzone (nefazadone) 600 mgs & a very high dosage of Klonopin (a benzo like Xanax, Valium, etc). After a while what happens is the meds stop working to their fullest ability, you become dependent & need the dosages raised. You go thru what is called tolerance then you start going thru withdrawal.

I was on these meds for 14 YEARS before I started tapering!!! The doctors kept telling me I needed the meds & I would be on them the rest of my life.

I have a thyroid condition, Ostoporosis (& yeah, I am too young for that!), supposed Fibromyalgia, I developed a gluten intolerance (common with benzo use), UNBELIEVEABLE pain, shakes, chronic panic attacks & a ton of other stuff I'm not going to list because I'd be here all day! I even had a grand mal seizure (which was most likely caused by the benzos not doing their "job" since I was malnurished (sp?) from the gluten intolerance. I was bed ridden & even thou my hubby was making me eat (sandwiches, we didn't know it was a gluten sensitivity at the time) I lost more & more weight & got sicker & sicker.

I FINALLY came across a website over 2 years ago that listed every symptom I had ever experienced. It was a website about benzo tolerance & withdrawal. I told myself "this CANNOT be a coincidence!". I did more research & came across Prof. Heather Ashton (look her up). I found an INCREDIBLE homeopath who helped me to start my taper off this drugs & replace them with natural supplements & vitamins. I believe the key one is Inositol as it replaces the serotonin in your brain (basically does what the pysch meds do but naturally & without the side effects). After a few days there was a 1000% improvement. Don't get me wrong, this road is long & extremely difficult.

I have been tapering for a little over 2 years now & I am now taking only 100 mgs of the Serzone (nefazadone) compared to the 600 mgs the doctors had me taking. I don't remember the original amount of Klonopin (but it was high) & I switched to Valium as it has a longer half-life. I am now down to 15 mgs am & pm & due for another taper of 1 mg.

I could be here all day telling you guys the HELL I went thru medically (mentally & physically), financially & in every other aspect of my life but you'll have to buy the book. LOL. Seriously, it would take too long. Message me if interested.

One of the worst effects (for me) thou is the memory loss. I have lost YEARS of my life!

Also, tanning beds are NOT as horrible as the media makes them out to be. There are plenty of studies that have been done showing that Vit D wards off Cancer & we get our Vit D from the sun (& tanning beds). The countries that are the darkest have the highest cancer rates. Check out www.iamtan.com. There is a lot of misinformation there but there are also some great links to informational articles. The sun also increases serotonin levels (which is what most of these drugs do) & that's why we feel better after tanning.

Again, message me for any other info or if I can help in any way. smile
